Easter

He is risen; He is risen indeed!

We had a great day celebrating Easter at the Learning Depot.

Ms. Lydia's class is getting ready to hunt eggs.

Get on your mark, get set, .......

GOOOOOOOO!!!!
For the physical activities we had an Easter Egg Hunt, a game-egg in spoon race, Bunny Hop sack race, and Bunny, Bunny Hop (like Duck, Duck, Goose).

We also had a visual art station where the kids painted at easels, made an Egg Roll design, and created a "Cute as a Bunny" photo.

We had a wonderful storyteller, Drew Chapman!  He told the story of the Three Trees using his own illustrations!  The children and their families loved it!

Then we had some time in our classes where each class told the real story of Easter to their families using a timeline, circle story or a book they had made.

Our families had fun too!!!!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Egg-stravaganza happen!

Space and Birds

The very hungry caterpillars have changed into the chrysalis stage. They aren't that pretty right now, but we don't always look our best when God is changing us. Each class had their own set of caterpillars to observe.

Mrs. Leesa's 2s love to hear a story.

So do Mrs. Jennifer's 3s.

Carline can double the fun of school!

The 4s used an online resource to learn more about space.  They were so quiet coming to the computer that we didn't even realize they were there.

There 4s pretended to be planets and rotated around the sun!  The sun is bright yellow in this photo.

Water colors make learning fun.

Birds:  What do you know about an owl?

Let's go bird watching!!!

Early Bird is fun. Look at the line of animals they created.

It's fun to play with our friends.

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work:  If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!
