The 2nd Week and the Letter M and Me

We had a great 2nd week of school.  We do have a few kids who were sick this week and had to miss LD.  We hope they are back with us soon.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Fran, 3 year old teacher, and our two friends Mattie and Reece, because they lost their grandmother and great-grandmother this past week.


Everyone was learning through a unit called All About Me.  They are learning that each child is special, "I am fearfully and wonderfully made."  The 3s and 4s focused on the word me, number 1 and the letter Mm. Here's some of the pictures I made this week.

PICTURE PERFECT YEAR

We started the 2013-14 year at the Learning Depot on Tuesday, August 20.  The foyer was decorated for a Teddy Bear Picnic with goldfish, football Ritz, and animal crackers.  The children picked their snack while the families signed them in.  Everyone had their picture taken in the frames, found their rooms, and met their teachers.  A special thanks to our Family Ministry Team; Randy Sims, Kelli Brent, Susan Ward, and Traci Roberts along with Nancy Shows for all their help on Tuesday morning! We had a great crowd of parents for the Orientation Meeting. We offered Learning Depot t-shirts from the past years for $3 or 2 for $5!!!
