Merry Christmas!

Isaiah 9:6-7

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace,
On the throne of David and over his kingdom,
To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness
From then on and forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.

Merry Christmas from all your friends at the Learning Depot!

We had a wonderful week preparing for our Christmas Parties.  The children were involved in creating pictures or prompts so they could retell the story of Jesus' birth at their Christmas Party.

On Wednesday we gathered for Rally to sing Christmas Carols, see the video of A Baby Changes Everything, and to learn the meaning of some of the symbols of Christmas.

We wore pajamas on Thursday for the Christmas Parties.  The children looked adorable in their pjs.

November/December 2013

It is so good to be back to the
blog!  I have been having
technical difficulties!

Here are two little Warriors
left over from Thanksgiving
that I wanted you to see.

The children continue to learn about letters, letter sounds, and numbers in the context of units or books.  Some of the three year olds learned a lot from The Mitten.

This is what missions look like at Temple's Learning Depot.  These kids have sorted, selected and stuffed boxes of goodies for Operation Christmas Child.

Our young friends are very busy being creative!!!!

We had a very special treat on Wednesday.  Mrs. Christy's daughters danced in The Nutcracker this weekend.  They both along with their instructor came and danced for the children.  They had their full attentions!!!

The children loved seeing Annie and Cassidy share their special gifts with us!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Learning Depot.

The four year olds created eatable Christmas trees for their snack on Friday after hearing The Pine Tree Parable!  Yum Yum!!!!
