Families and the Letter F

The children learned all about the letter F this week through their study of families, friends, and The Rainbow Fish!

These four year olds went outside and drew things they saw and then wrote about it.  Writing is being modeled and encouraged on a daily basis to help children develop balanced literacy:  speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Here are more "Me" and "Family" posters we are enjoying!

Look at the cute door decorations!!!

Look at our terrific teachers of three year olds working on their lessons plans.

These two year olds are enjoying painting and sorting toys by color!  Blue was their color of the week.

These fancy Fs are fabulous!!!

Here you see the fire from Moses' burning bush!

Adding the students' words to their projects connects written text to their spoken words, another literacy connection.

Friends are an important part of all our lives.  Charles Swindoll says, "  I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy.  Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun."

We love this friendship tree!

Look at the Friendship Chain!

Here's a list of F words the children named!

Look at the four year old friends!

Have a fantastic week!  We are learning about the letter B.
