January Fun at the Learning Depot

This past week's warmer weather brought us a little rain.  That's OK because we have the CAC to run in, play around, and burn off some energy. And, it's always fun to wear rain boots and bring an umbrella to school.
Our three year olds learned a lot about the letter Hh through the book Good Night Moon.  That is one of my favorite books! It is packed with predictable text, lots of rhyming words, cute illustrations in a sweet story.

What a cute clothes line for hanging the mittens!

Wipe off boards make writing fun!
On Wednesday we went to the Children's Theater for Rally.  Rally is a time for group worship and to learn about missions.
The two missions we focused on this week were Luo for our friend Denzel and Cookies for Soldiers.
This is Denzel's canvas he painted.

Meet Denzel, our friend from South Africa.

Thanks to Lori and Kelli we have a new display for all our Luo canvases and photos.

Our second mission focus on Wednesday was Cookies for Soldiers.  There are 3 ways for you to participate: 1. Make 2-3 dozen homemade cookies and bring them to the Learning Depot on Jan. 28th. 2. Adopt a box to pay for shipping and write a note to the soldier $15 or 3. Come and help pack cookies on January 28th.

Look at the girls beginning to pull up and getting ready to walk around!

The four year olds are working on math.

"Let's make a puffer fish!"

The twos love to paint with water colors!

Free play makes us forget it is exercise!
