Spring and Community Helpers

We had a busy week at the Learning Depot!

Our four year old teachers did a wonderful job of inviting some community helpers to come in so our students could learn about their jobs.  The children were a wonderful audience.  They listened and asked some good questions to our guests!!!!

Mr. Randy Sims, Temple's Family pastor, came and talked about what he does to help people.

A Home School Connection:  Decorate your "body" to look like what you want to do when you grow up.

The fours cooked pizza on Friday.  Look at these cute chefs....

The Tooth Fairy's helper came to visit and talked to us about dental health.

Look how they are sitting and listening!!!!!

We also had Officer Gannon and his K-9 to come visit this week.

Our fours went on a walking field trip to the church office to mail a letter. They met the people who work in the office and found out about their jobs.

Our twos and threes learned about spring and the changing of seasons.  They are working on completing puzzles, rainbows, shapes, counting, recognizing colors and learning the letters of their names.
These three year olds made and ate "clouds in the sky" for snack.  It was really blue Jello and Cool Whip.

This is a butterfly using paint blots and introducing symmetry to the children.

These threes are ready for science....a rainbow frizzle.

Have you noticed our new Ticket Booth???  Here are the men responsible for building it.  You will use it to sign your children in and out if you walk them in each day.  We will also use it on Sunday mornings to check out our extended session tubs to our volunteers.  We love it!!!!
